Then your macbook is a pre 2010 one, more than 13 years old.
My 2010 MBP runs High Sierra. You don’t get any safety updates for Safari neither for El Capitan nor for High Sierra. I changed therefore to Firefox but Mozilla don’t offer safety updates for it after September 2024.
So the time has come to buy a new Apple M3 next year.
BTW, I would buy a new Macbook and not a streamer.

@matt thanks for the comment. If The el Capitan won’t work anymore, I won’t be able to wait till next year for a computer. I am still hoping we get some sort of a final decision or solution before moving forward with a new mac or streamer.
Could a used or refurbished Mac be considered as an interim solution? You can probably get it for not too much.

you can get an old MBP which is able to run High Sierra for about 100 EUR.

Je vous ai contacté il y a 2 semaines pour une impossibilité à me connecter sur Quobuz via un Mcbook avec El Capitan et Audirvana 3.5.50
Apres quelques jours vous m’avez répondu que le probleme devait venir de Quobuz, que vous les appeliez… et vous avez clos le sujet.
A ce jour ca ne fonctionne toujours pas…
J’ai une 2eme machine un Imac de 2012 sur lequel j’ai installé High Sierra et sur lequel un ancien Audirvana plus version 1.5.12.6 est installé.
je recherche la mise a jour… on me propose 3.5.10. Erreur pendant la mise a jour.
je lance la mise a jour, on me demande la licence, je renseigne la clé de la version installée sur mon Mcbook… ca ne fonctionne pas…
je sors… je relance Audirvana plus… qui ne marche plus, bloqué sur initialisation périphérique; alors que le morceau lancé s’affiche dans une fenetre a droite de l’ecran
je retrouve la licence de la version Audirvana plus sur un mail archivé…
un message m’indique que la licence est pour une version plus ancienne.
ce que je souhaite. C’est installer la version 3.5.50 sur les 2 machines pour vérifier si je peux me connecter a Quobuz avec l’Imac…
Par avance merci de m’apporter cette fois la solution a mon probleme

Did you try to download 3.5.50 from the first page of the Audirvana Community forum and if yes, does it work?

I need to take a closer look on the finding of @c0m3 but I’m afraid that if the issue is linked to a root certificate of MacOS, there is not much we can do about this.

a partir de la page anciennes licences de My account
dans les 2 cas lorsque je rentre la licence (apres verification sur my account) le message suivant apparait
“il n’y a pas de licence valide pour continuer l’initialisation”
on me propose soit de quitter, soit d’acheter…

idem, avec El Capitan. Autrement, les accès à Qobuz fonctionnent (Web, iPad, iPhone…)
Same issue I reported from day 1 and based on Antoine answer and the fact that my mac can not handle any OS past El Capitan, I decided to move on and my mac will be collecting dust. Too bad but it is time to move to a streamer with built in it’s own interface app like Bluesound, Wiim, Innuos etc. Now I realized why many people prefer streamers over computers.
IMHO, the question is not Mac vs streamer more new Mac vs old Mac.
